Our Mission

At American SPED, our mission is to bridge the gap between federal mandates and classroom realities—ensuring that educational institutions not only understand but fully implement the spirit and letter of American special education law. We leverage the guiding principles of IDEA—including Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), Least Restrictive Environment (LRE), and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)—to support equitable, high-quality instruction. Our approach centers on translating legal mandates into effective practices, empowering educators to design and deliver IEPs that are compliant, measurable, and student-centered, in full alignment with U.S. standards. By providing specialized PD, coaching, and consultative services, we help schools and districts move from theory to action, enhancing outcomes for students with disabilities across the nation.

Our Objective

American SPED equips educators to transform IDEA mandates—such as FAPE and LRE—into impactful classroom practice. We guide teams in writing SMART, legally compliant IEPs and embedding UDL principles in instruction. Through research-based PD, coaching, and consultative support, we empower teachers to deliver inclusive, high-quality education where every student with disabilities can thrive.
